In March 2020, we were full of hope following our successful Big Night Out Gala and celebrating our Grand Opening of the B-Hive. In a matter of days, we were forced to close our doors and began working from home and transitioned programs and services to a virtual platform. With the continued support of our community Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington managed to overcome many obstacles over the past 5 months. We continued to make new matches, support existing “Bigs” and “Littles”, welcomed new summer staff (thank you Canada Summer Jobs) and launched our first ever VIRTUAL Camp URU. We are proud of where we landed as we continue to pivot our programs and services to accommodate the new reality COVID 19 has presented. We are also ready to get back to 900 Tower St S.
Effective September 8, 2020, we are officially moving back to our offices. We couldn’t be more excited to open our doors and set in motion are BIG plans for Fall 2020. Starting with the launch of Go Girls! and Game On! on September 30. In the past, we have hosted these unique programs in schools. With recent changes resulting from COVID 19, we are thrilled to announce Go Girls! and Game On! has found a new home at the B-Hive and is open and FREE to all children aged 12-14.
