Sesssion 2: Oct: 4, 11, 18, 25 – 2025

Adventures in Art Making :

Get ready to unleash your inner artist with BBBSCW x Sparrow’s NestBigs and Littles will have opportunity to explore a variety of art materials and art making tools in our bright and sunny Makerspace in the building of Elora Centre for the Arts. Participants will be gently guided by two of our experienced Arts Facilitators through a series of mindfully themed and fun art-making projects. Themes will be nature-based according to time of year and/or inspired by participants. December sessions will focus on gift making projects.

All ages and abilities will be supported with meaningful engagement and accessibility as the goal. Refreshments and light snacks also provided.

Seasonal – While the weather is permitting.

A FREE canoeing program for youths, matches, and families involved with BBBSCW, Paddle On! with Elora Paddle Company will offer participants the chance to take a calm, picturesque canoe ride on the Grand River and paddle up close to the limestone cliffs where you can spot fossils over a million years old.  

 

Led by the wise and skilled John and James Scott (father and son), this weekly workshop is a welcoming space for all youth!  

 

This program is: 

100% free of charge 

Includes free canoe rentals. with life Jacket** 

Each session will be about 45 minutes!

Cost: Free (Funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation)

Led by the incredible and culinary talented Andrea from Mandalia House, this weekly cooking workshop is about more than just recipes it’s about mental wellness, healthy eating, and building life skills in a fun, relaxed setting. We’ll explore:

Cooking on a budget

Nourishing both body and mind

 Preparing easy, healthy meals

Sharing good food with great company

This program is open to all matches and youth on our caseload and we’d love to see you there!

 Explore self-expression through different creative art forms

 Learn new artistic skills in a supportive environment

Focus on mental wellness and mindfulness

Build positive relationships and community connections

Whether your youth is an experienced artist or just curious to try something new, ExpressU is about showing up, expressing yourself, and having fun in a safe, inclusive space.
