Is Camp URU running during COVID-19?  Yes it is! It will just look different!

Starting in June, we will be offering limited spots for virtual Camp URU. This will be two counsellors, one secure online “room”, up to 10 campers and a whole lot of great programming exploring decision making, healthy relationships, financial literacy, managing emotions, mindfulness and so much more, through games and activities. Camp registration will include 3 hours per day of programming, Camp URU tshirt (special Covid-19 edition!), a care package with the supplies needed for each day and more! We kindly ask that you register your child 2 weeks prior to start date to ensure your child receives a Camp Kit.

Registration is $60 per camper, however, thanks to our sponsors, we do have subsidized spots if Covid-19 makes the registration fee difficult. Please click on the “Apply for Financial Assistance” button at the bottom of this page to fill out the form. Once approved, you will get a discount code that you will need to use to register to get your free spot.

“My son was not excited to go to Camp URU, just having spent two weeks at a high energy and expensive sports camp. He went to the first day, was very quiet but wanted to go back. Turns out he liked taking a week to turn it down a notch, explore the person he wants to be and made some new friends. He has already asked if he can do Camp URU again!” – Mom of Camp URU Camper
“My daughter struggles with anxiety and was very comfortable talking in the small groups you created. She felt like it was a very safe space and the counsellors ensured that. We made huge gains in areas of eating disorders, self esteem and self confidence specifically. Thank you – there is no camp like this in our area. You did a great job!” Mom of Camp URU Camper
“My grandson, who never wants to go to school, and did not want to go to this camp for the record – loved Camp URU. He can’t wait to go back to school in the Fall because he finally feels like he has tools to use when the kids that pick on him try again. He loved the conflict resolution game as well as the part about decision making. This has helped him and so I thank you!” Guardian of Camp URU Camper
